The Biomedical Research Center of the SAS (BMC SAS) cordially invites you to the EV4 international conference, which will take place on October 21–22, 2026, in Budapest. The event is organized in collaboration with the national societies for extracellular vesicle research from the V4 countries: Hungary (HSEV), the Czech Republic (CzeSEV), Poland (PSEV), and Slovakia (SlovSEV – currently in the process of being established at BMC SAS).
The EV4 conference represents a significant scientific forum in Central Europe, bringing together leading researchers, translational experts, and clinical specialists in the field of extracellular vesicles. Approximately 120 to 150 experts from research institutions, universities, and clinical centers across the region are expected to attend.
The event also offers an ideal setting for meetings with experienced experts in extracellular vesicle research, as well as an opportunity to establish new contacts and collaborations during discussions on the latest findings, products, and trends in this dynamically evolving field.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano- to micrometer-sized membrane particles that cells release into the extracellular space. They play a crucial role in intercellular communication by transporting diverse biological contents—including proteins, lipids, RNA, and DNA.
They play a role in regulating both physiological and pathological processes, such as immune responses, inflammation, tissue regeneration, and the development of cancer. Thanks to these properties, they represent a promising tool for modern diagnostics, for example as biomarkers in liquid biopsies, as well as for innovative therapeutic approaches.
More information about the program, registration, and travel grants will be added gradually at https://huphar.org/en/1st-ev4-conference-2/
