Slovak Biophysical Society – 10th Slovak Biophysical Symposium (SKBS 2022)
In May 2022, the Slovak Biophysical Society (SKBS), in collaboration with the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology of the Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v.v.i., successfully organized the 10th Slovak Biophysical Symposium (SKBS 2022), held on May 3–5, 2022, in Smolenice.
This scientific event brought together researchers and experts in the field of biophysics from across Slovakia to present the latest research findings, promote scientific collaboration, and strengthen professional connections within the biophysical community. The symposium program included thematic sessions focused on key areas of biophysical research — ranging from membrane systems and transport processes to modern imaging techniques and medical biophysics. The event featured lectures, poster presentations, and expert discussions reflecting current trends and innovations in the field.
As part of the symposium, outstanding scientific contributions by young researchers (under 35 years of age) were recognized, along with lifetime achievements of senior scientists who have significantly contributed to the development and promotion of biophysics in Slovakia.
The successful organization of SKBS 2022 confirms our institute’s active role in supporting the Slovak biophysical community and fostering high-quality scientific collaboration.
