The animal facility of the Neurobiological Institute of the BMC SAS in Košice is an approved facility for performing procedures on Wistar laboratory rats. The breeding facility and premises are used exclusively for breeding and keeping animals that are used for approved procedures in biomedical projects for our own needs. The animal housing system provides space allowing animals to move freely, adopt normal body postures and positions with a rest area, including environmental enrichment for the purpose of their natural behavior in accordance with applicable legislation.
